Kolp's Landing

KOLP'S LANDING

When you sit on the weathered adirondacks,
Breathing in salt air, as sunlight dries the ocean swim
On your browning epidermis,
Pamlico Sound reveals her shoreline colors
Of beach heather and evergreens,
Alongside azure rippled green waters,
Reflecting the play of earth lights and clouds.
And lulls you with this melody of sights,
Into the stupor of peaceful relaxation
That you've been anxiously awaiting ,
Since you first began plotting
Your escape from reality
To Kolp's Landing.
